Cadejo

The Cadejos are phantom dogs from Central America, similar to the Barghest of Europe.  In some regions they are thought to have cloven hooves.  One of the Cadejos is black and one is white.  One is good and one is evil, but which one is which varies regionally.  They also drag chains behind them.

This was going to be one of my illustrations for my work in progress, the Mythical Creatures World Atlas.  I have since decided not to include this illustration in the book, although the Cadejos will still have a text entry.  The chains were a b**** to draw!  I was disappointed when I came to the realization that this picture wouldn't fit into the book layout.  That's why I'm sharing it here instead!
